Yesterday I was bike riding along the D & R Canal in NJ when I saw a deer in the canal. It was standing very still near the edge with the water up to its neck. I got off my bike and looked at it, and it looked back at me barely moving. It was an intense moment as though it was trying to speak to me. I sensed that something was wrong and called the Park Authority and they sent an officer out. By the time he arrived, the deer was on the far side of the canal, with it's head resting on a rock, and most of its body still in the water- it looked exhausted like it didn't have the strength to pull itself onto the steep bank. It was obviously sick or injured. The officer was only able to get so close and only so much he could do. Hoping and praying she will be able to recover, and that similarly I will learn to trust God, allowing him to come close enough to bring healing in my own life!

God Bless,
Anne-MarieAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09692065966762012044noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8933957650347452922.post-23854686338229062292008-03-02T15:09:00.000-08:002008-03-02T15:09:00.000-08:00A wonderful lesson so simply and beautifully illus...A wonderful lesson so simply and beautifully illustrated. It keeps trying to take over, and is becoming more intense as this move draws closer and more and more things remain undone. I've just got to allow God to guide me and stick with the details on my check list...it's as simple as that (but I keep making it so hard!). Fear and anxiety are not on that check list!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8933957650347452922.post-32551442969898423402008-02-28T16:27:00.000-08:002008-02-28T16:27:00.000-08:00I knew where this one was going after reading the ...I knew where this one was going after reading the first sentence. It is a good reminder non the less. The transformation from knowing and doing is often very difficult isn't it!? We KNOW God has only the best in mind for us yet we too seem to become uncomfortable if God get too close. My pastor used to ask the question," do you wish you were closer to God than you are?" He says it's a redundant question. If you really wanted to be closer to God than you would be. It is also a reminder to me that when I see people who "limp" (handle life awkwardly or hurtfully) to see past the limp, and remember that they are injured people, who will never be mended fully without love and grace from God and those who are called by His name.

Your illustration will serve me well to remind me that when I am limping (trying to make do awkwardly) to RUN in prayer to Him.

Thank you Sweetie.

Hugs as always.

JillThoughts on Life and Millinery.https://www.blogger.com/profile/15826496514403918108noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8933957650347452922.post-67732113568833631532008-02-28T00:47:00.000-08:002008-02-28T00:47:00.000-08:00I love putting my nose into God's hand! *smile*I love putting my nose into God's hand! *smile*Demarahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11805384658660191758noreply@blogger.com
